DESCRIPTION
Geek & Gorgeous A-Game 10 Retinal Serum is a silky, lightweight emulsion with a high strength dose of retinal to target multiple visible signs of ageing.
Retinal is the older sibling of the better known anti ageing ingredient retinol. Retinol needs two conversion steps before it turns into retinoic acid in the skin, while retinal is only one step away. It is thought to convert to retinoic acid over ten times faster than retinol, which makes it a very effective member of the vitamin A, or retinoid, family.
With regular use, A-Game 10 helps the skin to look more youthful, firm and elastic. It also speeds up the renewal of the upper layers of the skin so texture appears smoother and tone more even. It can be a useful supporting product if you are trying to fade pigmentation, and it can also be helpful in routines for acne prone skin.
A 0.1 percent retinal serum can be compared to a high strength retinol product, typically in the 0.5 to 1 percent range, but with a lower irritation potential and results that may show more quickly.
HOW TO USE
- Use in the evening only.
- After cleansing, apply any liquid or gel type products first, such as toner or other serums.
- Then smooth a pea sized amount of A-Game 10 over the face.
- Follow with a moisturiser.
- Always wear a broad spectrum SPF 30 or higher during the day while using vitamin A products.
If your skin is new to stronger retinal serums, start by using it a few evenings a week and increase gradually as your skin becomes more comfortable.
